Changing Habits Changes Your Life

Habits are definitely misunderstood and underestimated. The habits we continually practice become ingrained into our being. Habits make up our character, and our character makes up who we are. Our habits shape our paradigms which make up the mental programs that control our lives. We all have habits we would love to kick, but we just are not aware how. Whether it may be to quit smoking, learning a new skill, completing goals, or to change negative behavior we all have habits that prohibit us from living the life we truly desire.

Changing habits can change your life, for better or for worse. You can choose habits that benefit you or habits that deter you. It is important we choose to practice habits that align with our hearts desire, goals, dreams, and ambitions. To change habits it requires a lot of intense focus, will, and determination. Changing habits can put you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in a totally different space a year from now, so let's talk about how to change habits.


If we are going to change habits we have to change what we repeatedly do.

1. You will have to replace your current habits with new ones. Doing this will make you uncomfortable and your body and mind will fight with you.

2. You will have to consciously override your the current conditioning despite the pushback you will get from your nervous system. This pushback may come in the form of doubt, negative self-talk, anxiety, procrastination, or fear. regardless of these defense mechanisms put forth by your mind and body reacting to change, you must push through.

3. Your subconscious mind is the storehouse of your paradigms. Your paradigms are shaped by your habits. To successfully change habits you must reprogram your subconscious mind.

Reprogramming your subconscious mind will make changing your habits stick permanently. Reprogramming your subconscious mind will create a new blueprint that your life will build by.

4. Consciously decide you are going to change. Change takes a lot of will. You literally have to force yourself, and just say "I'm going to do this". It takes effort and determination to consciously will yourself to do things that will take you outside of your comfort zone. Eventually though, the discomfort will subside and this new way of being will be familiar and easy for you to adhere by.
